Northleigh House School, originally the home of Viv and Fred Morgan, has been transformed into a nurturing school for children who have experienced trauma or struggled in mainstream education. It provides a safe and supportive environment, prioritising emotional wellbeing alongside academic development. With a holistic approach, the school tailors its programs to meet the unique needs of each student, helping them heal and thrive both emotionally and academically. Northleigh House offers a compassionate space where students can rebuild confidence, foster resilience, and rediscover their love for learning.

Challenge & Solution

Northleigh House faced ongoing issues with internet disruptions, causing frequent interruptions to classes and cloud phone services. The school had multiple suppliers for internet, phones, IT, and support services, leading to disjointed communication, varying contract dates, and inefficiencies in costs. Additionally, their IT equipment was at different stages of its lifecycle, resulting in inconsistent performance, with some devices working slower or less effectively than others, further affecting the smooth operation of lessons.

The Solution

CloudFusion took over Northleigh House’s entire technology infrastructure, including internet, phone systems, IT support, hardware, CCTV, and mobile services. They stabilised the school’s internet by installing a leased line and upgraded the phone system to the Ericsson LG Cloud and iPECS One, allowing flexibility for both on-site and remote work for staff and students. CloudFusion also implemented a full IT hardware refresh, ensuring all equipment was standardised and easier to manage and support. For IT support, they streamlined the Microsoft 365 setup, improved licensing, and enhanced cybersecurity protections, including backup solutions both online and locally for staff and students.

The Results

Since moving to CloudFusion, Northleigh House has seen significant improvements by consolidating all technology services under a single provider, offering full transparency, one monthly cost, and a single point of contact. Chair Viv Morgan has developed a strong rapport with CloudFusion’s Managing Director, Carl Lowe, trusting him for regular advice and support.

Conclusion

CloudFusion’s implementation of up-to-date technology and an optimised license structure has future-proofed the school, allowing for a smooth transition and setup of a planned second location. With consistent internet, flexible phone and IT solutions, productivity has increased as staff and students can work remotely without disruptions. The cloud portal also makes system management easier and quicker, reducing time spent on technical setups. Northleigh House is now well-positioned for future growth and expansion, with the current license structure facilitating easy scalability.

testimonial

“Cloudfusion gave us fantastic advice, implementation and support on the Cloud migration of our IT system, telephone system, Internet / wifi system and mobiles.
They listened to our needs, were straight forward and gave great support and good honest advice with a no-nonsense approach which is very refreshing.
This was a big decision for us as a 60 users business and having many suppliers over the years, however they did exactly what they said they would from the outset and the support afterwards has been outstanding. Would highly recommend them, a great business and a special thank you to Carl & Talat”.
